| Handicap Parking At TMR |
| It was mentioned to me that I
should add to the site that TMR has designated handi-cap parking
available up top in the pit area beside the tech shack. If you need
assistance in parking tell the person at the gate/ticket booth and you
will be directed to the tech shack from there you will see the sign.
The first parking/pit space has been set aside for any racers that are
confined to a wheelchair and wish to race their vehicle. Depending on
the weekend or the situation you may have to share your pit with
another special needs racer. We also have a wheelchair accessible
washroom available as well. We at TMR hope this is another step forward
in our efforts to make drag racing accessible for everyone wishing to
play. |

| Attention In The Pits Attention In The
Pits |
| Just giving everyone a heads up on TMR's
Work Party Test and Tune May 29 and 30, We plan on having a full day of
work at the track on the 29th, prepping for the season opener on June
5/6 th. Those of you planning on attending can call Mike, Terry or Bill
to enquire if anything special will be required as far as tools etc
that may be needed. The usual shovels, rakes, brooms, gloves, clippers,
trimmers, battery operated drills are always high on the list of
required tools,
Oh and don't forget to bring
your car for Sundays Test N Tune.

Oh and now for some interesting news, It has been
decided that any racer from TMR's past will be offered a free weekend
pass to race for free to try out our new track improvements, only
stipulation is you must have not raced on the Mountain within the past
3 years. We are also happy to announce to people wanting to try out our
new surface, If you have never raced at TMR you will also be allowed to
a free race weekend pass. Come try your luck and get in on the
excitement of door to door drag racing at its best on an 1/8 mile
track. Anyone wanting more info on these two free weekend passes

It's Finally complete,
the track is ready to roll with the new burn out boxes
and launch pads installed, and yes the notorious dip "felt but only a
few" but none the less, a nuisance to many has been ground out and
repaved to laser straight and level perfection. Most of the TMR racers
don't realize the amount of work put into the track so far this spring,
with some people making 16 trips to the track, I hope all racers
appreciate the extra mile put in by the few that are trying to move TMR
ahead into the future and making TMR a better place to race |

list, lets get onto this, I see on the Ashcroft site they are going the
same route with the same company |
Gerry Pieter's is ordering a load of fuel end of next week and we need
to sell several more barrels to save huge shipping costs. This years
fuel will be coming out of Ont, Pro fuel, and is a really good price
compared to the competition, sooo who needs fuel we all do eventually,
why wait and pay more, get on the band wagon now and have it before you
actually need it. Most of us down here in the south are buying 2 yrs
worth, Oh and that don't mean we will have a load of to sell mid season
to you procrastinators. Give Gerry a call or an email at thunder alley
for prices and save save save, we are bringing in race gas as well. |

help with the new burnout box prep and the grinding of the launch pads,
We also got the guard rails moved for the tow truck and ambulance
parking. We would ;like to send out a huge thanx to Winn Rentals too
for the use of their equipment to get things done. |

An Email From A Fellow Racer Asking For Info On This

On the Thunder Mountain
face book site there are some pic's with your name on them that I was
wondering if you might have some info on.
I am attaching 2 pic's,
the first one from the face book site and they second one of our car.
We are wondering if you know the people with the Jr dragster as we are
hoping to find out a little more about our car that we recently
acquired It is not the same car but obviously the same people as the
car is painted the same and has the same NHRA number.
Thank you for any info
that you can provide.

BOOK anyone, Wow here we 10 years old on web and I guess you could say
we are finally coming of age. Not only are we coming to the masses via
the TMR website with forum and private emailing list, but now we have
added both Face Book and Twitter as our latest methods of spreading the
world of drag racing to the masses. I hope each and everyone of of our
members and racing fans all world join both social networks and help to
keep Thunder Mountain Raceway continually growing |

A note from the Sponsor Committee
Its that time of the season again and we at THUNDER MOUNTAIN RACEWAY
are in need of season sponsors. As you all know this is a tedious job
that require skill and patience. What we are asking is that anyone that
is a regular racer or spectator at the mountain could possibly round up
one sponsor and direct that sponsor towards either Bill Boult or Terry
McHardy to follow up on. Any and all help would greatly help out the
track this year as we need several major improvements and upgrades to
get accomplished.

New Thunder Mountain Raceways New
Email List is up and running |
I have been asked by the powers that be to install a private
?? email list for members of Thunder Mountain Raceway, I have been
testing it for a couple days now. The List seems stable enough to
allow you all to join. The only rule to joining is you must be a paid
up member of the OASC and in good standing with the club. If you want
to be included in the list email a request to
tmr_members_list@thundermountainraceway.com this is not a web site
url but rather an email address. Send an email to the address and you
will be added to the list as long as you eligible.
Note, this email list is not a deterrent to the forum but an addition
to it. |
