TMR Tentative 2008 Schedule |
I have posted the TMR Tentative schedule on the
Schedule page, The Sched should be finalized by the next meeting to be
held on Tue Feb 12th. If you the regular racers have any input
towards the 08 sched you should make your views known at this meeting
On a side note
New 2008 membership forms have been posted to the site for well over a
month and also been sent out in the Roadrunner. Please take a few
minutes and get your membership filled out and mailed in or bring it to
the next meeting. By getting signed up early takes a lot stress and work
load off the membership person as the season draws closer
Electronic Roadrunner Feedback
Genie is also looking for Feedback on the new electronic Roadrunner set
out via email. If you are not on the email list please do so as this
saves time!, Money!, and resources!, or our volunteers. Most OASC Member
fail to realize that TMR spends most of your Yearly membership money on
the Roadrunner when this money could and should be put to way better
uses. If you do not have regular access to a computer or find you want a
printed issue then we will make sure you get a hard copy.TMR
Web Site Transfer
I have transferred all the info on working with the TMR website to Geg
Kilmartin. I will look in daily as usual and try to keep things running
smoothly. I know it will take time to learn the site, especially if one
is not versed in the manner of CODE lol
Website Updates
If you have anything you want updated or changed on the website IE
profiles etc...lets git er dun! |

July 26 07
I know you get tired of reading the
line "Lets Get Ready To Rumble"
But, This weekend at TMR the
mountain will be rumbling once again to sound of a blown alky Nostalgia
Funny car. YES, Cory Kincaid will be making a
surprise visit to the Mountain this weekend with his Bubble-up Funny Car
clone. Most of the TMR regulars will recall that last year Cory and crew
made a special trip to the mountain to enlighten the crowds with two
days of full on, all out, hard driven passes. As an added bonus last
year the famed 240
Gordie Bonin arrived on site to amazement of drivers and spectators
alike. No word on Gordie being on site this weekend, BUT! Along with
Cory will be the famous
NITRO MIKE KUNZ "not
to be confuzzzed with our own Nitro Mike Schewe"
with his 1/4 mile wheel standing Pick -up. The wheel stander is a
1957 cameo pickup with a 526 Blown Alcohol Hemi in the back,
Even though the wheel stander is "testing"
he has promised some full passes. This will definitely be a weekend not
to miss on the mountain |

TMR Race number one
rainout
date double header with Race number 2, brings out the heavy hitters
Okay Race Fans the weekend you been waiting for is upon us. Greg Kilmartin
has been working hard to bring you a top notch
bracket class that pits the fastest
of cars/trucks with doors
together for 6 a race series
to be launched this weekend.
The class "Door slammers" running 6.49 seconds in the
eigth mile to qualify and no set number of cars in the field,
.
The line-up pre-registered cars
so far is very impressive with the
likes of Lyle Kennedy's
7.1 sec in the quarter mile, the incredible Barracuda of Rick Mcleod jr. . TMR's Kevin Duchesne
running his
nitrous quenched big blocked Acadian. If you love to watch door cars
running as fast as our dragsters BE THERE! this Saturday and Sunday for
2 whole days of non stop drag racing action. Along with our door slammer
series the always popular hard driving Top Comp class promises to be a major hit with
TMR's own record holding Neal Lachelt
the fastest and quickest man to
ever run the hill, followed
close by
the always popular Kerry Beebe and Pete
Tovani
We are also expecting to the new kid on the block
Tyson Carr , and not to forget the eye catching Little Shaker
of Pere
Zmean, I haven't heard from the always popular and unpredictable T42 altered of the Hough family Along with this weekends double header TMR will be hosting its
first of the season INSTANT GREEN competition where any street car
passing a limited technical inspection can run lap after lap throughout
Saturday Night
Click any of the above icons to view the partial
profile of that racer

TMR Race number one
rainout
update |
I have just been notified by those that be...the next
race at TMR JULY 14 15 will be a double
header. The rained out race from June 17 will have to be run on the
Saturday. We know Saturday is the first of our two Saturday Night
Instant Green races, but with the extra help promised from various
racers at the beginning of the season we can and will have enough
volunteers. We are sorry if this date conflicts with plans or the
schedules of any racers who were at the first race. As you know the
regular scheduled race for July 28 29 is already a planned double header
and the following race having Saturday Night Instant Green number two,
we have no other choice.

let the racing members know as soon as possible when the rain out date
will be run. More updates when and if they come in.
One point I wanted to make was on the new ec1 surface. wow kudos go out
to everyone involved in this project, from the 25 members plus that
coughed up the *^&$%0.00 to help make it happen to the company the done
the work. This is a fantastic surface we now have. I could not believe
how easy it was to move around on this surface by comparison to the last
few years, can I say clean and most important of all no DUST zero zip
none. Once again thanks to all involved in making this happen. |
