Well, where to begin.
Some of the TMR racers hit Osoyoos today to help start off the new strip. Some, not all, (---- up memory), myself, Kerry Beebe, Movie guy Tim, Gerry(Gary to most) from Thunder Alley,Charles and Nancy......oh God, the memory is lapsing again. Pres. Beebe, Sect. Laura,......where was Perry?. Anyways, a lot of the Kelowna, Summerland, Penticton crowd was in attendance at the 1st running of ....the track at Osoyoos. The name escapes me, be it Wine Country Raceways, or what ever. I'm sure that they will come up with THE right name eventually.
Anywho, it was a great day. The crew, helped a little by Dean Martin and Joann.................yes yes, that is their name. the track crew did a very
comendable job today. I was very impressed. Their dedication was very evident. Not unlike our own track personel.
The event was only a basic test and tune, but drew a crowd of some 800 to a grand. Some of the fastest door cars were from TMR.
The long and short of the above, is that this track is hot. (so was the 40 degree temp). I can easily see a Central/north Valley against the south valley situation occur.
I am truly pumped about the eventual outcome of the new track as it effects our track. North verses South....etc.
Today was a win/win situation. I AM PUMPED

I would like to send out a BIG congrats to the Osoyoos club and Dean and Joann for accomplishing what I believe they have been working on for quite some time now.I have been involved with the Terrace Drag Race Association for many years now and I believe I spoke with Dean about how we ended up with permission to use the local airport for our 1/8 mile Drag race events.This was a few years back now.I admire anyone who has the fortitude to move forward with this type of project.Lets keep our sport alive folks even if its only 1/8th of a mile at a time! We plan on attending your Jr Dragster invitational in August and we're hoping to bring friends along too.I guess I better buy a few more jets for the Diggers as we run at sea level or close to it and you guys are a MILE HIGH.See you all then..Kerry We have sold the Jr we purchased from you but I'm trying to convince the new owner to make a return trip to TMR with us.You can count on our two cars Ty_7.90 and Natasha_8.70 I doubt we will see these numbers on the mountain tho.We're sure going to have fun trying.
