Rules for 2011 Street Legal Racing 

1.  Windshield wipers must be operational 
2.  Defrost fan must be operational 
3.  No open headers; exhaust must go through mufflers 
4.  All tires must be DOT approved (NO SLICKS) 
5.  No mixing bias tires with radials (i.e. all four tires must be radial or bias) 
6.  Vehicle must retain the original suspension components as per the manufacturer’s design (NO 4 
link system or tubbed cars) 
7.  Vehicle must have interior door panels 
8.  No aftermarket fiber glass body panels except for hoods unless OEM (i.e. Corvette) 
9.  Vehicle must have side mirrors 
10. Neutral safety switch must be operational 
11. Battery tie down must be present 
12. Helmuts must be worn (ALL Classes) 
13. Seat belts must be operational 
14. At least 2 operational head lights 
15. Wind shield must be glass and free of damage or cracks 
16. Any power adders such as turbos, super chargers or nitrous that are not of the vehicles original 
design will deem the vehicle a “Super Tuner” 
17. Any vehicle with an increased number of cylinders from OEM will be deemed a “Super Tuner” 
(i.e. 6 cylinder to a V8) 
18. No trans brakes, stutter boxes or electronic helpers may be used.  (Foot brake only) 
19. Tail lights and brake lights must be operational 
Thunder Mountain Friday Night Street Legal Racing Program reserves the right to make rule changes 
at any time without notice. 

 13 WAYS TO GET YOURSELF DISQUALIFIED FROM RACING !
 

1) Letting your dog run loose

2) Allowing your children to break the track rules or willfully cause damage to the facility

3) Firing your race vehicle between 9:00 pm Saturday night and 8:00 am Sunday morning.

4) Testing your trans brake in the staging lanes

5) Testing your trans brake in your pits while the car is on the ground

6) Dumping oil or any other contaminate on the ground

7) Being verbally or physically abusive to another participant or volunteer

8) Unsportsmanlike conduct, or conduct detrimental to the sport of racing

9) Using any illegal substance or consuming alcoholic beverages during the course of a race day

10) Creating a condition that is unsafe or unfair to the track and the rest of the participants and spectators.

11) Attempting to race without providing a valid drivers license

12) Attempting to enter the tower without first being cleared with the Track Director

13) Dumping fluid (oil, tranny, antifreeze) on the track after your first warning
